• Filing a provisional patent will allow you to put "patent pending" on your product.
• Remember that a provisional is temporary. You must file a utility patent within one year.
• The current fee for a provisional patent is $75. In order to qualify for the reduced fee, you must state that you are a small entity.

• The current statute is USC 35 112 & 113. Read carefully before filing.
